THE COURSE

The 10K course runs along Eisenhower Avenue and back. Flat and fast except for one rise at overpass near start and finish. USATF certified.

Long sleeve tech tshirts to the first 800 registrants in the 10K. Packets and Late Registration is available on Race Day, from 7:00am - 8:00am at the race start.

What's in a race packet?

Your race packet includes your race bib, timing tag, safety pins, and your race tee.

Runner Premium

Fleece hats should be added as the ?premium? for the Parade Mile under Packet Pick Up info ? there is a 300 person limit for the Parade Mile.

Timing Tag

Reminder: you must wear the timing tag assigned to you for this specific event. No tag = no time.

DIRECTIONS - METRO

From I-95/495: Take Telegraph Road north (Exit 2B). Turn right off the exit onto Pershing Ave., right again on Stovall Street, then left on Eisenhower Ave. Follow to John Carlyle Street, Alexandria for parking.

From Alexandria: Take Duke Street (Rte 236) toward I-95; turn south on Telegraph Road; stay in right lane. At the Hensley Park sign, exit right onto Mill Road, turn right again. In ¼ mile, turn right on Stovall Street, then left on Eisenhower Ave. Follow to John Carlyle Street, Alexandria for parking.

Metro

Take Metro Yellow Line to Eisenhower Avenue. Please review METRO timetables to ensure a timely arrival for the event. The start/finish is located approximately 1/4 mile east on Eisenhower Ave at the US Patent and Trademark Office, 600 Dulany St, Alexandria.

Parking

Free Parking is available at the USPTO EAST Parking Garage at 551 John Carlyle Street, Alexandria.

Road Closures

The westbound lanes of Eisenhower will be closed for the event.  Eastbound lanes will be coned for two way traffic.

10K AWARDS

$250 (1st place)
$150 (2nd place)
$75 (3rd place)
 
Top two male & female finishers in the following age categories will receive merchandise awards:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

Note - Prizes are M/F and no duplicate prizes are allowed

Awards will be distributed after the race near the Start/Finish line area (weather permitting).
