PREFERRED VENDORS

Pacers Events relies on a host of vendors to put on our events. Without them we?d be lost! It seems everyone has a "best of list", well here?s ours:

Running Specialty Partner: Well, duh, Pacers Running Stores
Why they rock: Best stores in the area - hands down. We aren?t biased - it?s true!

Timing Company: raceDC Timing
Why they rock: You might remember Erik Kean and Jeremy Lowry from their days at Pacers Running Stores. Now they are all grown up and manage the timing for all of our races and partnership events.

Signage: NOVA Retail
Why they rock: Ali & Val (owners of NOVA Retail) actually hung a 58 foot sign from a five story building at 2:00am in the morning for us before Marine Corps Marathon. Folks: don?t try this at home and if you work for their workman?s comp insurance company ? this never happened.

Websites/Announcer: Marc Davis
Why he rocks: Well, we might also be biased on this one since Marc works for us. But he does do announcing at major events (Have you heard of the Boston Marathon? It?s this little race up north) and he has created all of our websites, working closely with our favorite graphic artist and a very demanding race director.

Graphic Design: Dan Austell
Why he rocks: Dan is the master graphic designer behind everything we do. Now only if he?d work full time for us.

Photography: Brian Knight, Swim Bike Run Photography
Why he rocks: Brian's photos are the best in town and he's got the bling to prove it. Brian has shot almost every race we've had in the past two years; some of his Pacers shots have even been nominated (and won) awards! Also, check out Pacers Logan Circle where Brian's photos are sprinkled throughout the store.

Printing/Mail House: Gerry Hof, Lettercomm
Why they rock: Lettercomm is a local print house in Alexandria, Virginia. Your favorite race director asks for the impossible and never once have they let us down. Plus, they give you free tours of the print house!

Festival Area Design & Logistics: Jeff Ruday
Why he rocks: If you want it done right and engineered to a tee then call Jeff. He shares our vision and is amazing. We secretly think Jeff loves filing permits, a task we find as enjoyable as the last season of American Idol.

Tenting Company: Randy Worden
Why he rocks: Randy has been around longer then anyone we know in the business. We refer to him as Mr. GW Parkway.

DJs: Edward Daniels, Bob Artman
Why they rock: Both of these guys are great on the 1 & 2 and pleasant to boot.

Screenprinter: Tom Cox, G&G Outfitters
Why he rocks: Located in Lanham, G & G Outfitters prints just about anything related to races in the city.

While we think these companies are awesome, you?ll need to decide for yourself. Pacers Events makes no warranties or guarantees.
